Wed 12 Oct 2005 04:16:08 PM UTC, comment #38: For me, I can't try 2.6.4. I obtained a prebuilt version, and it is linked to a specific version of a library. The library doesn't exist on the MacOS X Tiger.

Tue 04 Oct 2005 07:53:43 AM UTC, comment #36: I have similar problem. But no matter what I changed the LC_CTYPE to, the language and locale showed is always "EN" and "ANSI_X3.4-1968". Why?

Mon 02 May 2005 02:21:49 AM UTC, comment #2: That's correct. The number of "_" is according to the number of chars seen by Ocaml (may differ from the real number further to the encoding used).

Fri 29 Apr 2005 10:25:22 PM UTC, comment #1: When a file is downloaded and commited, the file name in the incoming directory is changed to something like "______________________". The number of the "_" is variable and different each time. I think it is as long as the original file name, but I can't verify this right now.

LC_CTYPE and LANG (generally in etc/environment) are maybe well defined in your system but it is not enough.
make sure the locales (at least the one you use) are existing and have been built.
output of the command 'locale'?
I ever run mldonkey on windows and linux and I never encountered any problem.
