The common behaviour for network clients is to use IPv6 first when it is available, falling back to IPv4. At the very least there should be a compile-time option to permit the user to select this behavior.

Please look at /help server for help on server command. In quickstart and doc we explain how to add then connect to a server (IPv6 or not).

For IPv6 auto detection, it's not a bug but a task or a patch that you may submit, so I close this bug.

Client does not try IPv6 servers by default. I would suggest that trying IPv6 should be the default behavior if the system supports IPv6.
