There was a wildcard in one of the config / header files which incorrectly pulled some of the MCU types into the wrong AVR architecture group. When I replaced the wildcard with the individual mcu names (in their respective categories), the problem went away. Not sure if this was the case here.	David A. Mellis <mellis>

Mon 10 Mar 2008 07:47:29 PM UTC, original submission: With fully patched binutils 2.18 and gcc 4.2.2 under 32bit Ubuntu Linux 7.10 I did a clean build of avr-libc 1.6.1. When build an application for either the AT90USB162 or AT90USB82 I get the following linker error: /usr/local/lib/gcc/avr/4.2.2/../../../../avr/bin/ld: crtusb162.o: No such file: No such file or directory This actually object file is here: $ locate crtusb162.o /usr/local/avr/lib/avr5/crtusb162.o If I manually copy: /usr/local/avr/lib/avr5/crtusb162.o to /usr/local/avr/lib/avr35/crtusb162.o it links correctly. Also if I remove the gcc-avr35.patch and rebuild avr-libc and my application it links correctly. Looks like an avr-libc build/install problem with that avr35 patched version of gcc.
