There is a new check_xinetd version in the CVS which I would appreciate if you could test. You can find it in

It can be improved but it does check some of the xinetd services (see the TODO). I will close this bug in the next Tiger release.

More and more linux distributions are turning to the use of xinetd and this might be an interesting feature to implement in Tiger. Do you have any reference on (proper) xinetd configuration?
