A quick note as to why i haven't tackled this one yet: highlighting of scheme code is not under Geiser's control, we use Emacs' scheme-mode, so a proper fix would probably belong there. Also modifying the syntax table entry for comments to make the semicolon a context-sensitive marker is not trivial and could have a performance impact, so i'm wondering how often this funny syntax is seen or used in practice.

In guile, this kind of syntax is allowed:

#{\x28;}# which stand for the symbol (

and the ; symbol is recognized by geiser as the comment sign, which leads to further parent mismatches.

So, please handle this situation individually.
