Upgraded packages for xchat have been added to our repository and I forwarded this simple patch to 691477 (at) bugs.debian.org. I think we can safely close this bug now.

Marek Buras has provided a patch [1]. I'll push it to our repository at my first opportunity.

I have reported the issue upstream to Debian. Hopefully they will remove it upstream because this bug also impacts Trisquel. Opera is not even in Debian's repos (free or non-free) so there really isn't any reason they shouldn't remove it.

Blacklisted in rev. 267 (metad), rev. 34 (debderiver).

Setting to postponed for future freeing.

XChat has one URL handler by default: "Open Link in Opera". This doesn't show up if Opera isn't installed. But the entry is visible to anyone wanting to change their URL handlers.
