Hi Daniel,
  The status still reads "Need Info". I had asked one of my colleagues to submit the log which had been requested earlier. Is there any additional info which is required or if this is a major feature of next release, please do let us know.

Hi,
  Thanks again for the quick response.
Some more feedback:
1) I tried with the smsc option and it still reads success. I am attaching the log . One small thing I might be missing out is seeing a dump of the original command issued.
2) I also used valgrind but there were no errors.
3) I tried with the Nokia Suite and the SMS goes through. So looks like I might be missing out on something.

The message about the reference number is wrong because the response frame is shorter than expected and if you run under valgrind it will probably show an invalid.

Did you try to do what the other message says? It says:
Cannot read the SMSC number from your phone. If the sms send will fail, please use --smsc option explicitely giving the number.
If it works using --smsc please show the debug log so we can try to fix the failure case.

I am using the sendsms option of gnokii. Though it says sendsms succeeded, the sms is not visible in the Sent folder or in the phone on the other side. Phone is c1-01 Nokia and Platform is Ubuntu 11.10. The .gnokiirc and screen dump is attached.
