Change behavior extracting the libraries (Windows only) to enable extraction in application directory, while write permissions.

A library seams to be suspect for MS Security Essentials if it gets cleaned up by the closing application.

Anyhow, it is no problem for me if the files get send to MS for analysis.

Sorry, I don´t know why I didn´t include a screenshot in the first place. Here it is.

Wouldn´t it be possible to constantly have those DLLs in the program directory?

Hi Lars, please describe in more detail what issue gets reported by MS Security Essentials. I have a Win7 (32-Bit) using the MS Security Essentials where I can not reproduce the described issue. My Win7 64-Bit has NOD installed and do not use MS SE.

Background: Depending of the executed work of DataExplorer several DLLs gets extracted. In all cases SWT*.dlls , rxtxSerial.dll and WinHelper(Arch).dll gets extracted. SWT is using a different directory (%AppData%/.swt/lib... SWT internal implemetation). Since the DataExplorer used DLLs are only temporary the DLLs get cleaned up while exiting.
The WinHelper DLLs are build using MS compiler and linker and mainly used to search for serial ports in registry.

So I am interested in detailed message

cheers Winfried

Hi,

until now I wasn´t able to clearly identify the cause of this, but on starting, importing data, or closing DataExplorer, Microsoft Security Essentials shows a warning about an unknown object "c:\users\myname\AppData\Local\Temp\WinHelper64.dll".

OS is Win7, 64-bit.
