The Gegenbbauer polynomials degenerate to Chebyshev polynomials when lambda is zero and can hence be evaluated using T_n(x) = cos(n acos(x)) when |x| <= 1 and cosh(n acosh(x)) otherwise. The intent here is evidently to use the first form when |x| <= 1 but to rely on the gegenbauer recuurence relation when |x| > 1 rather than using the hyperbolic function form. I have hence changed the conditional expression to match this intent.
