Can't ranger somehow predict that the archive is an encrypted one?
Something like grepping the string 'Enter password (will not be echoed)' from 7z. Or even ranger prompting the user for the password.
I can understand this is quite a corner case, but it would be nice not being block when you go over one.

It is no loop, actually. It tries to preview the file and 7z asks for a password. Since the input is detached from 7z, you can't input the password, so the whole program locks up.

No fix known aside from disabling previews for 7z files in ~/.config/ranger/scope.sh.

Hi,
Ranger seems to get stuck (infinite loop) on encrypted archives, in my case 7z archives.
