Sat 30 Aug 2014 02:07:41 AM UTC, original submission:

It is no longer possible to parallel install both i686 and x86_64 versions of libunwind-devel on Fedora (see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1110655).

The reason appears to be that libunwind.h is customised per-architecture to support UNW_REMOTE_ONLY.

This could be fixed as follows:

For normal host==target non-UNW_REMOTE_ONLY builds, install a generic libunwind.h that does not support UNW_REMOTE_ONLY. (This should make multiarch work for Linux distributions).

For UNW_REMOTE_ONLY builds, install a libunwind.h specialised for the target architecture. [This should be compatible with multiarch host if each target architecture gets installed to a per-target location?]
