Putting for example 'bind ^6 savefile main' in one's .nanorc file has no effect -- Ctrl+6 does not save the current file, but still does what it did before: it toggles the mark (the same as ^^, Ctrl+Shift+6).

Fixed in SVN, r5625.
This prevents ^6 (and other invalid sequences) from being displayed in the ^G help text as being bound to some function whereas in fact it still just toggles the mark. So it prevents the help text from lying.
