I fixed this with commit 795f64ee17fe01659dec6424

If no BY variable is chosen for the scatterplot, the first color is black. Otherwise the default palette is chosen.

Several users issued a bug report about empty scatterplots on MSWindows.

This is not reproducible and most likely it is because they can't see the yellow points. Maybe because of their hardware.

I attached the output of plots on SPSS which seems to be better visible.

I guess changing the default points color from yellow to black when only one colour is needed would already be a big improvement.
