Thanks for the report!

MM metric files are not supported yet, correct.  I also don't have plans currently to change that.

Alas, 5004.AFM_Spec.pdf doesn't contain details on .mmm files.  Similarly, https://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/font/5178.PFM.pdf doesn't mention Multiple Masters.

FT_Attach_File() does not recognize the *.mmm file in this (very old) font:
http://www.lucasfonts.com/fileadmin/user_upload/porno/MoveMeMMwin.zip

The specs for *.mmm seem to be here:
https://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/font/5004.AFM_Spec.pdf

I’ve noticed this when opening “MoveMe MM” into FontView. FontView checks for the presence of .afm and .mmm metrics files when opening .pfb, and then calls FT_Attach_File() to attach the metrics. However, it looks like FreeType doesn’t recognize the format of .mmm files.

I’m certainly not saying that bugs related to Type 1 Multiple Masters would be worth fixing, but still wanted to file a report in case you’re interested.
