The check-namespace.sh script currently hardcodes `nm` which might not be the correct nm binary to use - especially in cross-compile scenarios. The attached patch adds a check for a host-prefixed nm binary to configure.ac using AC_PROG_NM. The AC_PROG_NM macro uses $GREP but misses a AC_REQUIRE for it, so we have to make sure $GREP is set by executing AC_PROG_GREP beforehand.
