This is a larger issue that needs greater reflexion since it affects the whole event handling architecture.

CYBOI is based on just one main event/signal handling loop, similar to game programming.

There are two possibilities for sensing input:
1 non-blocking calls
2 blocking calls wrapped in a thread
Currently, both are used in a mixed manner in CYBOI.

Among others, the following channels have to be considered:
- tui: terminal/console
- gui: x_window_system, win32 api
- wui: socket

The problem is, that each platform handles things a bit differently. For example, the pthread library for threads in unix/linux may not be used in windows (and possibly not in mac osx) because threads are handled differently there.

This issue is on my todo list and we may also talk about it, perhaps in person, once you are back in Germany.

I currently have the idea of inspecting the "libuv" library and using their ideas. All a matter of time ...

At the moment the user input does not take any arguments.
The TUI does not react to any pressed button.
