Thank you Jwe.
One other thing can be added is, what things should be considered
as a bug. I know it's impossible but some examples can be given.

Dildar: If you expand the "Mail Notification Carbon-Copy List" item in the bug tracker on the web, then you should see the list of people who are notified by mail in addition to those people subscribed to the bug tracker mailing list.

Why is 1837.24+603.14 displayed as 2440.4 instead of 2440.38

Other floating point issues like 7/3 - (1/3)*7 != 0  or  sin (pi) != 0.

Note that there may already be issues like this in the FAQ, but it might be useful to group them together, or have a list of the items pointing to the relevant sections.  I don't expect new uesrs will actually find and read the FAQ before reporting problems, but maybe we can remember that it exists and point them to it when there are reports about these kinds of issues.

By the way, I don't know why a mail is sent to me regarding this bug report. Am I tagged here or something like that?

6) Lazy evaluation of ranges and how and when they are expanded into vectors

There are some frequently encountered issues that new Octave users stumble over.  Some of these are related to the difference between pure math and numerical computing such as a signed zero (-0).  Others are related to the differences in philosophy between Matlab (where many users start) and Octave.  It has been suggested that expanding the documentation to have a FAQ on these issues would be helpful.  An initial list of topic is

1) Inf * i ==> (NaN + InfI)

2) Computation and display of -0

3) Comparison of complex numbers with <, <=, >, >= vs. min and max functions

4) String class vs. character arrays

5) What it means for Octave to be compatible with Matlab
