Hi,

I exchanged a SATA power Cable and now everything works fine again.

Thanks for your help.

Best regards
Sammy

Hi,

indeed, I have blocked files. But after manually starting storebackup it seems like a disfunctional SATA Power Cable could be the problem.

I'm going to investigate this and update this thread when I know something new.

Best regards
Sammy

Hi,
you only have blocked files if you configured them (see e.g. option checkBlocksSuffix). Or see the description in the pdf documentation "7.5 Saving Image Files / raw Devices / Blocked Files".

which version of storeBackup are you running?
I've no other problem reports like this, so maybe it's something different. Can you run storeBackup in one window and in another one before, during and after the backup 'free -mt'? (don't run anything else during that time.
Which distribution are you using / which perl version?

Regards, Heinz-Josef

Hi,
Ich already enabled the saveram Option.
How do I check, if there are massively blocked files?

Thank you
Samuel

Hi,

you have 2.6 million files (and other stuff) in your backup. That shouldn't be a problem with 4GB or maybe 1GB of RAM. Do you have massively blocked files?
Can you check running storebackup with the option --saveRAM?

Hello,

my backup is triggered daily by an anacron script. But since a few days it's not finishing, but the storebackup process gets killed because of lack of ram.
I already enabled the saveram option, but it's not helping. And I have 16GB of ram installed, which should be enough, I think.
