Additional clarification: this is on the "Find" box in the upper corner of the screen, not the "Advanced search" dialog.

Searching for a specific package that is not found gives no indication that anything happened - the list is not updated, no "No such package" dialog is shown, the system just silently does nothing.

At a minimum, searching for a non-existent package should pop up a dialog saying nothing found, or better still just update the filter to show an empty list.
