there is a check in muddleftpd-1.3.13.1/src/proxy.c that triggers fatal error when we want port < 1024 and uid != 0 before bind. I'm running patched linux kernel, that allows binding on any port for non-root users on specific ip address on loopback interface. May be do check AFTER bind failed?
