Please check if this bug still is in current CVS version.
You should find a tarball of current CVS in files section of
this project: http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/mldonkey/

uh? wired.

so to clarify:
you have sources and bt clients that have an upload slot.
but all bt-clients in uploaders have the field uploaded at 0, all the time?

k played again a little bit.... cant stop myself with that

well i changed bt_numwant and ask_tracker

but upload is totaly dead, 0k upload in more than 10 houres, thats sad.. soon ill be banned from all trackers :(

any chance that upload will work in the future, or very soon?

ok first yea mlnet-bt is not the best shape (i'm sumbmitting patches and it gets slowly better) but good enough for daily use (with the 3 patches i will submit to savanah after commenting here) if one knows some things (but i have to admit a bt-only-client could be easier at this time if core-gui separation is not iportant [did only use original client for testing besides mldonkey])

it's vital for downloading that you upload
more upload = better
less slots = better
some slots for one file = better
some slots for some files != better
so limit max-uploaders_per_torrent (and max-upload-slots too if you use not only bt) and do not run many downloads and seeds at the same time (paused downloads are not important, there one does not upload)

priority does not affekt bt afaik

i experienced the avail. to be fairly inaccurate at times with edonkey but to be relatively accurate with bt

on a tracker with many seeders and only some leechers mldonkey does max my downstream (~100kbyte/s) out (this did even happen without these patches)
on a tracker with low seeder-count and many leechers it does now perform acceptable (with the download tips), i think

sorry to spam again, but as you can also see in the picture, the files with HIGH prio still have 0% avail. but 50 sources?
also what i saw is, that when you add a file to BT, there are ASAP 50 sources... after 1 sec the most time

ok, compiled again you -28b patch packet, did a complete clean install (without old ini files) and there it is again :(
i attached a small pic (hope it will be attached ;))
a file with 0% availibility is beeing downloaded ... weird
then as you can see all files have soooooo less sources, but tracker sais there are at least 500 seeders..
now after running it 2h, its still <5k download speed :(((
anything else you need as info?

args, i did a typo with -21b..
i surely mean -28b, didnt test with -21 at all
i know that the bug does NOT exist in 16t for sure!
in -28b there it is (for me), will try 'vanilla' cvs when im back home, but as i remember, there wasnt this bug

played with the new BT_* commands, but nothing changed :(
dont u have this problem or arent you using BT?

-16t: works find
-28 : as i remember the version was also a bit buggy with BT, but THIS bug didnt appear, will test again later
-28b: there it is, it has the bug

vanilla CVS 2-5-28 = CVS 2-5-28 without any patches

Please play around with BT_max_uploaders_per_torrent and BT_numwant options in core 2-5-28b to see if they are responsible for the limitation of 5 clients.

Please describe exactly which version has this bug and which not. I think the situation is like this:

2-5-16t: working
2-5-21b: has this bug
2-5-28 : ??
2-5-28b: has this bug

BTW: If you register an account on Savannah before sending bug reports or registering your mail address in "Mail Notification Carbon-Copy List" down below you will receive notes about this bug faster.

i changed from -16t to -28, then back again to -16t and then tried yours,
now im back again on selfcompiled -16t patchpacket from you..

maybe i should explain myself a little bit more, sry:

well im only using BT for ages now, now (with -16t) i have lots sources on every file (around 200 each) but when i use your mldonkey binary, there are only around 5 sources per torrent, and so no download does start, even after 2-3 houres :(
i would like to use the new version of yours with the new great BT features, but this bug prevents me from this ;)

vanilla cvs? never heared about that, will google for it

any more infos you need?
well also tried selfcompiling with -21b patch, same there

Which core version did you use before?
Please have a look at this patch:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/patch/?func=detailitem&item_id=3245

It was applied in CVS 2-5-23.
Do you have this bug with vanilla CVS 2-5-28 as well?
