It appears that this problem is not fixed (I'm using 2.9.1).

I wish it were fixed because I have a clamav process watching the incoming directory, ready to scan files, but these transient ghost files cause it to crash.

Havent downloaded enough with 2.7.3 to make a final assessment, but with the few files I downloaded so far the issue is not present. I'll post here again if the problem shows up again.

Pangos patch is now part of the current release.
Does this bug still occur?

You may try that patch. Beware, it's quite large. It has been tested successfully with donkey and BT, and under Linux and Windows, but if it breaks you can keep the pieces.

In order to cope in the short term with the problem, woul dit be possible to have a new command "rm_torrent torrent_name_or_id" so that the torrent file that keeps being created is removed from the system entirely (allthough manually)?

This should take place if a file which is removed from incoming is currently uploading, this exception is not caught yet:

Exception End_of_file in send_small_block
Exception End_of_file in send_small_block

and a zero-length file is created.

Known issue (bug #7246).
Bug report was closed because it was too old, but the issue is not fixed.

After a file is downloaded and committed (auto committ in fact) I usually move them from the incoming/files directory to elsewhere.
What happens is that, leaving mlnet running as a deamon, I see new files created in the incoming/files directory with the same names as the files just moved and with size of 0 bytes.
