To make it clearer, servers can be MLDonkey internally blocked
due to IP blocklist.
KMLDonkey can not display this status, the server is shown as
disconnected, pressing "connect" does have no effect because the
core will not connect to this server.

Solution: Use Sancho: emerge sancho-bin

"when time goes by, it reduces to 3"

MLDonkey has a hard-coded maximum of 3 connected EDK servers
at the same time, you can connect to more servers but
connections to smaller servers are cut off after some time.
Connecting 1 server is enough btw, so expect that maximum to be
reduced in the future to lower server load.

"It doesn't display even the connecting status"

Displayed in which interface? Some servers may get status
"IP blocked" after the IP blocklist is loaded.
Please check if you saw this. AFAIK KMLDonkey can not display
status "IP blocked" because it was not updated for it.
Compare serverlist display of MLDonkey while connected with
Sancho and KMLDonkey at the same time to see what I mean.

According to Sancho and KMLDonkey, mldonkey can connect to more than 3 servers at a time, when time goes by, it reduces to 3, but you can connect to more manually or via "connect to more servers".

I've tried, and I am in same situation: after a time running mldonkey, ANY other server than currently connected wants to connect. It doesn't display even the connecting status, nor any server side error (like blacklist). This is the main reason I was reporting this, why at first I can connect to ANY and ANY number of servers I want, and after a time I simply can't?

MLDonkey does not connect to more than 3 servers.
You can manually connect more servers by clicking a server
in the server list and manually execute "connect" command
but "connect to more servers" may not work in this case.

Also, if you use an IP blocklist, its possible that the
server you wanted to connect is blocked. AFAIK KMLDonkey
did not update its support for new opcodes from MLDonkey
core to display this data, use web interface or Sancho
to see if servers are blocked in your MLDonkey setup.

Trying to connect to such a server will fail.

At the begining, all works very good, but after a period of time, it stops responding to some options, like "connect to more servers" or "connect to server (when one or more has been previously selected)".

I've been using KMLDonkey for the tests.

¿Maybe a bug? (I would understand not connecting at all, but it is extrange that it can't connect after a time of running (and downloading data)).
