 Howdy good guys,
May be I am the only one who have the problem, but sometime, I am running out of space in the temp directory. It would be nice to have a command to export a partially downloaded file into another directory (file system). This would mean not sharing and downloading such file while exported.
Taking the example of kazaa, I can do this by stopping the service, moving the file. When space become available, I stop the service, move back the file, and restart the service. This works with Kazaa because both the data and the metadata are located within the same file.
This is not possible with mldonkey because:
  - The metadata of the file is located in a global file (files.ini)
  - The partially downloaded files may contains some wholes. So the regular Unix mv command would not do a good jobs.

So, the idea would be to implement 2 core commands:
  - move num /dir: moving a partially downloaded file (reffered as num) and its metadata to a directory. Basically says, get the file outside of the mldonkey download area, but remember what I already downloaded. The metadata and the data already downloaded would be moved to the directory /dir.

  - move_back /file: Move back a halted file and metadata under mldonkey control. This means, inserting it into the files.ini and moving the already downloaded data back into the temp directory.

 My 2 cents,
Joel
