Ok,

Did you compile CERTI 3.3.3 from source
or did you use an installer?

Would you be able to build CERTI CVS from source
and retry?

Informations for building CERTI may be found here:
http://www.nongnu.org/certi/certi_doc/Install/html/index.html

Do you see any information on RTIG console?

Thanks for the  reply!
I'm working on Windows XP and using certi 3.3.3. I set the env variables that you mentioned, but this didn't yield anything that I didn't know. Here is the output:

.....

BILLARD Note : FederationExecutionAlreadyExists Reason is : . OK I can join it
Display(400, 145, 500, 100)

I'd be glad to try to help but this is
'not really a bug' but a missing feature of the
billard application as explained here:
http://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/certi-devel/2009-05/msg00034.html

However in the reported bug the billard did not failed
with an exception but they were "frozen" when the second
billard tried to join.

You get an RTIinternal exception right?
Could you tell us:
   - Which version of CERTI you are using ?
   - On which platform ?

If you get an exception you can try to set

RTI_EXCEPTION and CERTI_EXCEPTION env var to "X"

export CERTI_EXCEPTION="X"
export RTI_EXCEPTION="X"

then you should get more trace during the raise
of the exception.

By the way you posted your message anonymously,
which is ok but if you want to get automatic follow-up by
mail you'd better open a (free) savannah account and post your comments while logged-in.

I have the same problem, and the proposed solution, setting CERTI_HTTP_PROXY to no value, didn't work. This environment variable had not been defined in my case. I defined it by giving no value, although I didn't see any meaning, it didn't help. Other than that, I'm aware of that the problem arises when "synchronize" function of Billard calls functions (in order)

RTIAmbassador::synchronizePointAchieved
RTIambPrivateRefs::executeService

and exception caught says "RTIinternalError", without any reason. I'm totally a beginner. Can someone please help me?

If ones launch billard

billard -fTest -FTest.fed -n X

and press ENTER

then later launch a second one

billard -fTest -FTest.fed -n Y

both billard are blocked.
