Hi,

I had to rechecked what i did and found this. I somehow managed to get a package description for fink, which results in properly running programs. IOW, you may actually close this report as resolved. Sorry, but i could not really find out, what was wrong in the first place.

Regarding details of the building and installing gchemtools, please have a look at the package description file:

http://fink.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/fink/dists/10.4/stable/main/finkinfo/sci/gchemtools.info?view=markup

It should be quite selfexplanatory. In addition, I give a short summary:

General Remark: fink replaces the commonly used prefix /usr/local with /sw.

Configure Parameters:

--with-goffice-plugins-dir=/sw/lib/goffice/0.8.17/plugins
--disable-mozilla-plugin
--disable-schemas-install
--disable-scrollkeeper
--disable-update-databases

./configure; make and make without much else. Finally, a script to update scrollkeeper.

I could only get version 0.12.8, because the fink has no yet a newer version of glib2 than 2.22.4

How did you even get gchemtable to compile and run on os x?  Were there any specific configure arguments or anything that you used?

I tried a graph from two short columns of data in gumeric. this works.

I'm pretty sure that someone already reported that for gnumeric which also uses goffice for charts. This is apparently a bug in pixman. I'll search gnumeric bugzilla for reference.

When selecting any of the element charts gchemtable crashes. Example with electronegativity:
