"allow_root" and "allow_other" are specific to fuse file systems. They need these options because of the non-standard way how fuse enables mounting by unprivileged users.

davfs2 follows the traditional Unix way. Unprivileged user can only mount if there is an entry in fstab. These fuse specific option make no sense for davfs2 and it is correct to stop with an error if someone tries to use this options.

Also davfs2 not know about options "allow_root" and "allow_other".

davfs2 does not know option -n and bail out with error message "unknown option". It should recognize all generic option that are passed on by mount to mount helpers.
