There's not much we can do here to solve this bug: we now render administrative boundaries of any level, but we need to maintain a limit of the overall size of the area (its width and height must be smaller than 30 km) simply because of memory consumption issues.

Then you're better off using the slippy map. In the future, when a map can't be rendered by administrative boundary, we'll add a feature that automatically switches to the bounding box selection mode, centered and zoomed on the appropriate area, so you can fine tune and render.

Would have possible solutions. Divide the map into 2 or select which part is cut.

The city itself isn't very big, but if you look at the actual administrative boundary, it is very very big. If we hit the geographical size limit, it means one of the dimension is greater than 20k (which is big for a map).

I think the size limit is very limited.
Salamanca is not such a big city

For Salamanca, the administrative boundary area is to large to be rendered. In the new version of MapOSMatic, the difference between a missing administrative boundary and an present one but too large is better displayed.

Hello,

according to Nominatim, Barcelona has an administrative area of 6, not 8, so is Salamanca

I have checked only those two towns.

Salamanca, Barcelona, zamora, Ávila,.... Have administrative boundaries of level 8 and do not work. I imagine it will be by the same name as the province.

Hi Jorge,

In its current version available at http://maposmatic.org, MapOSMatic only supports cities with administrative boundaries of level 8.

We have worked on removing this limitation and a new version of MapOSMatic is in the works. We will make sure MapOSMatic is able to render these cities.

Thanks for your report!

Been tested and does not leave the cities to create the map. I'm from Spain and only works with Bilbao but been tested in most countries and does not work in Rome, Amsterdam, Moscow ,.....
