Running the latest version available in the Linux Mint repository as of today (Nov 10, 2019) 0.3.1-4.  Music does not play, at least not audibly.  The game's preferences show the checkbox for music is on, and the volume slider for it is in the middle position.  The music files are present the appropriate folder/directory (/usr/share/games/lordsawar/music/).  I can even play the music via RhythmBox running in the background as I play the game - of course RhythmBox doesn't have the situational awareness to change the music to "Bless" when a unit is blessed, etc.
