comments indicate that this is fixed and "it works for me".

please reopen if newer versions of the milter still have problems.

Hi!

Revision 1.56 (Diff to previous 1.55) of spamass-milter.cpp apparently fixes this crash. Would probably make a better release version than 0.2.0 if you applied that diff and Revision 1.61 (Diff to previous 1.60) to 0.2.0's spamass-milter.cpp and released that as 0.2.1 ..

Arg. that stack trace looks like something tried to throw an exception trying to destruct the assassin object, and I don't know how do debug destructors.

Yes, I definitely need to put out a new release. There are a couple crash fixes and some nice new features. Until then, you can check out the cvs source: Download cvs and the auto*tools from sunfreeware.com or blastwave.org, pull the spamass-milter source using the anon CVS instructions at http://savannah.nongnu.org/cvs/?group=spamass-milt , and run ./bootstrap in the checked-out directory to generate the gonfigure script.

Hi!

I'm using your SpamAssassin-0.2.0 Milter Plugin on Solaris 9 (sparc) box (compiled with gcc/g++ 2.95.2). It works fine for a few hours until it dies (apparently on exception that then calls the default handler that abort()'s).

I compiled it with -g and took a copy/paste of the stack trace:

(gdb) where
#0 0x7f91f27c in _lwp_kill () from /usr/lib/libc.so.1
#1 0x7f8d04d0 in raise () from /usr/lib/libc.so.1
#2 0x7f8b6c78 in abort () from /usr/lib/libc.so.1
#3 0x7f9c8f50 in __default_terminate ()
from /usr/local/lib/libstdc++.so.2.10.0
#4 0x7f9c8f80 in __terminate () from /usr/local/lib/libstdc++.so.2.10.0
#5 0x7f9c9a94 in throw_helper (eh=0x3d1f0, pc=0x23c13, my_udata=0x7f57bb08,
offset_p=0x7f57bb04) from /usr/local/lib/libstdc++.so.2.10.0
#6 0x7f9c9c9c in __throw () from /usr/local/lib/libstdc++.so.2.10.0
#7 0x1c91c in mlfi_eom (ctx=0x408f0) at spamass-milter.cpp:916
#8 0x23c14 in st_bodyend () at spamass-milter.cpp:1775
#9 0x22fc8 in mi_engine () at spamass-milter.cpp:1775
#10 0x21730 in mi_handle_session () at spamass-milter.cpp:1775
#11 0x20da0 in mi_thread_handle_wrapper () at spamass-milter.cpp:1775
(gdb)

Hope this helps.

P.S. How about a new release to include fixes for any minor bug you've found since 0.2.0 ? :)
