This situation has been encountered by a user, so it is clearly important. However, it is not clear how to correctly assign a branch to a non-branch tag. In particular, branch base tags are on both the parent branch and on the child branch.

I guess the routine could be created with an option of some variety.

tag is not implemented.

It's not clear that this is important. Perhaps
the parameters of the constructor should be
changed. But there needs to be code somewhere to
determine a branch from a non-branch sticky tag on
a directory.
