Did you try with scripts loaded? If yes, please unload them all (scripts can crash WeeChat or produce weird behavior, so it's better to test without them).

Moreover, if you have a crash, please enable core files and send a trace using gdb (see user's guide for more info).

For now I have not enough info to fix the problem, I'm not even able to reproduce it (and I don't have OS X to test).

I can confirm this issue on weechat 0.4.2 on Mac OS X 10.9 compiled using `brew install weechat --with-aspell --with-lua --with-perl --with-ruby --with-guile`.

Copied and pasted buffer after mouse scrolling: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/8cb4dbb989b239fe6b19

Let me know if there's any other info I can provide.

Did you test with latest devel version, to check if problem is still there?

Hi,

I wonder if the fix for bug #39094 would fix this one too. It was a problem of freed memory still used by WeeChat, and it can cause such weird problem, or even crashes.

Could you please test with latest git/devel version and tell me if that's better?

Yes, disabled all scripts and the problem still happens.

Hi,

Can you try to unload ALL scripts, and test again? To be sure the problem is not caused by a script.

By the way, I am unable to reproduce the problem in my weechat.

When scrolling up in a buffer using my mouse:

gets dumped into the current display (screenshot: http://puu.sh/32IKt.png). If I force weechat to redraw, it goes away. It doesn't look like anything sinister is happening when this error occurs: weechat functions properly and memory usage looks fine.

Pretty sure it's happening when the top of the userlist the client received when I joined passes the halfway point in the current buffer.

The error happens in all the rooms I'm in with more than about 200 users, across multiple networks.
