1.0 Introduction |
11 |
|
12 |
Scratchy is a very simple realtime polyphonic sampler. It was/still is |
13 |
intended for more advanced options including allowing you to upload sample |
14 |
data via OSC for playing audio generated from somewhere else on the fly. For |
15 |
the moment, it should just be seen as a stable sample playback engine. |

|
19 |
2.0 OSC interface |
20 |
|
21 |
/stop |
22 |
Stops the engine (not implemented) |
23 |
|
24 |
/upload |
25 |
Uploads audio data via a "blob" (not implemented) |
26 |
|
27 |
/addtoqueue is [sampleID filename] |
28 |
Adds the specified sample file to the queue to load, and assign it the given |
29 |
ID. This does not actually load the data. |
30 |
|
31 |
/loadqueue |
32 |
Loads all samples in the load queue - they should now be availible for playing. |
33 |
|
34 |
/unload |
35 |
Deletes the sample from memory |
36 |
|
37 |
/setclock |
38 |
Resets the internal clock using gettimeofday() - this needs to be called once |
39 |
at startup. |
40 |
|
41 |
/play iiiffffi [timesec timefrac channelID freq slidefreq volume pan message] |
42 |
Plays a channel ID at the given time (in ntp format), with the given |
43 |
parameters. if the time is set to 0,0 it will ignore the time and play the |
44 |
note asap. The message parameter is ignored. The slidefrequency is ignored at |
45 |
this time. |
46 |
|
47 |
/setglobals ifff [sampleID volume frequency pan] |
48 |
Sets some global paramters for this sample, which are added to the ones given |
49 |
by the /play message - for global sample control. |
50 |
|
51 |
/setinfo ifi [sampleID starttime poly] |
52 |
Sets some more global info to do with the playback of the sample. Starttime is |
53 |
a position into the sample in seconds where we start to play. Poly switches on |
54 |
or off polyphonic playback with a 1 or a 0. |
55 |
|
56 |
/unloadall |
57 |
Deletes all samples from memory |
58 |
|
59 |
/map ii [sampleID channelID] |
60 |
Maps the sample ID to a channel ID which can then be passed to the /play |
61 |
command. This is done so that multiple samples can be assigned to one channel, |
62 |
and played across the note range, for things like percussion. |
63 |
|
64 |
/unmap i [sampleID] |
65 |
Unmaps the sample from any channels it's registered in |
66 |
|
67 |
/unmapall |
68 |
Unmap all samples from all channels |
69 |
|
70 |
/globalvolume |
71 |
A global volume parameter |
