1.0 Introduction

Scratchy is a very simple realtime polyphonic sampler. It was/still is
intended for more advanced options including allowing you to upload sample
data via OSC for playing audio generated from somewhere else on the fly. For
the moment, it should just be seen as a stable sample playback engine.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.0 OSC interface

/stop
Stops the engine (not implemented)

/upload
Uploads audio data via a "blob" (not implemented)

/addtoqueue is [sampleID filename]
Adds the specified sample file to the queue to load, and assign it the given
ID. This does not actually load the data.

/loadqueue
Loads all samples in the load queue - they should now be availible for playing.

/unload
Deletes the sample from memory

/setclock
Resets the internal clock using gettimeofday() - this needs to be called once
at startup.

/play iiiffffi [timesec timefrac channelID freq slidefreq volume pan message]
Plays a channel ID at the given time (in ntp format), with the given
parameters. if the time is set to 0,0 it will ignore the time and play the
note asap. The message parameter is ignored. The slidefrequency is ignored at
this time.

/setglobals ifff [sampleID volume frequency pan]
Sets some global paramters for this sample, which are added to the ones given
by the /play message - for global sample control.

/setinfo ifi [sampleID starttime poly]
Sets some more global info to do with the playback of the sample. Starttime is
a position into the sample in seconds where we start to play. Poly switches on
or off polyphonic playback with a 1 or a 0.

/unloadall
Deletes all samples from memory

/map ii [sampleID channelID]
Maps the sample ID to a channel ID which can then be passed to the /play
command. This is done so that multiple samples can be assigned to one channel,
and played across the note range, for things like percussion.

/unmap i [sampleID]
Unmaps the sample from any channels it's registered in

/unmapall
Unmap all samples from all channels

/globalvolume
A global volume parameter
