Since I have been working much more time with Git than with Subversion, I feel more confident using this versioning system. Thus, I have just moved all the commits over to the Git repository.

I am happy to announce that Faunis 0.3 is ready! There are many visible and invisible changes:
Thorough refactoring of Client, MapManager into Modules.
Concurrency can now be better handled by the Sync class.
Introduction of Archivists and refactoring such that all hard disk access goes through them.
All graphics can now be scaled.
Replacement of txt settings files by properties files.
More and better graphics.
Graphics can now be linked: Use a properties file instead of a png file with the same name and write source=... in it.
GUI improvement: Menu bar, list of commands by /h, JSplitPane.
Began implementing Robots (artificial client users) for massive testing fun.
InventoryManager and most inventory functionality broke during refactoring and I disabled it for now. Will reintroduce it once I have thought about a satisfying solution for inventory management.
At the moment I'm looking forward to Eurofurence 19, where I will present Faunis - hopefully to an interested audience?
Best regards,
skarute
I am happy to proclaim version 0.2 of Faunis. The following has been done:
- defining maps
- map decorations, and drawing objects in the correct order
- map switching via links
- for windows users: batch files to make the launch easier
There is still much to do, but it's a step in the right direction. :o]
Dear readers, I need your help: I would be very thankful if you could provide me with map decorations or ideas about the design!
The next thing on my todo list are some more tasks about maps and to implement a pathfinder. And then I'll finally face the interesting stuff, characteristics and fights!
Simon
I just want to announce that I will be absent until 6th January. I wish everyone a happy new year!

The very first release of Faunis has been uploaded both into the SVN repository as well as into the download area. It doesn't offer much functionality, but I'm yet proud somehow. :o]
