As part of an attempt to get out a new release, mainly by applying patches being carried by packaging systems, we will be heavyhanded in closing bugs that have not been confirmed to still be valid against 0.4.0. So if your bug is closed, and you can reproduce against 0.4.0, please feel very free to note that and reopen. And feel free to do that even if your bug isn't closed.
I am pleased to announce the release of spamass-milt version 0.4.0.
This is the first of what I hope are a number of maintenance releases with the goal to eliminate the outstanding bug/patch/feature requests:
The following changes are included in this release
- -C option to change the default reject code
- -S option to specify a path to sendmail (for the -x option)
- -R option to specify the rejection message
- -a option to skip messages that were authenticated
- IPv6 address support
- zombie process fix for the - option introduced in 0.3.2
This also includes the fix for CVE-2010-1132 that was in the unannounced but generated 0.3.2 release.
Thanks,
-Todd
Quick release to address a compatibility problem with Spamassassin 3.1.1:
to syslog if it can't fetch a sendmail macro that would help.
Since CVS has basically been stable for the last 6 months, it's time for a release :)
Lots of new features: Spam can be redirected to a separate email address. Arbitrary netblocks can be excluded from scanning. You can now pass custom arguments to spamc without recompiling. Sends extra headers to spamc to mimic the ones the local sendmail adds. The manpage should now be readable on all OSes. And some minor bugfixes concerning messages with no headers and localhost mail submission.
