We are happy to announce the first release of Traverso!
The release can be downloaded from the download page, as a source package, a Debian package, Gentoo ebuild or ready to run binary.
A lot of work went into this release, and many thanks goes to all the people who in the past or recently contributed to this project.
Without them, this release wouldn't be possible!
You can read the full announcement here:

We hope Traverso can be of any use for you.

Traverso is getting in good shape, and Traverso 0.30.0-rc1 received some
testing and valuable feedback from our userbase!
Numerous issues are fixed, so I think it's almost time to release the final
0.30.0.
However, it would be great if you give this one some testing too, to make sure
the 0.30.0 release will be as good as possible!
Thanks a lot, looking ahead for your feedback!
The Traverso Team.
We're pleased to announce the first release candidate for the 0.30.0 release!
Much has been done to make this release canditate possible, see the Changelog for details.
Please, test this one and file bug reports if you encounter them to make for a solid 0.30.0 release!
Thanks.
Traverso development takes place at a steady pace, and numerous improvements (i.e. complete rewrites) have been made to the original code base, specially in respect to the audio processing, it has been moved to a lockless realtime thread which improves playback and capture a lot.
This functionality which is a core feature of a multitrack audio recorder is relatively mature and bug free at this point.
Editing is something that has been shaked up a lot, and has a number of bugs and or unwanted behaviour.
This is being worked on, and during this process most of the editing actions will be added to the un/redo or history engine of Traverso!
Lots to do, but great progress has been made!
Any help would of course be welcomed. Be it either from a usability point of view, bug tracking or code patches, translations etc...
The Traverso team.
Zeven months after it's creation it appeared to be time to host the project on a place with decent project management tools.
Traverso is hosted here on Savannah now, and I like to thank the Savannah admins for hosting this project, and for the quick registration process.
