!! BEWARE that consumer/provider of TSP 0.7.x
!! is NOT able to talk to TSP 0.8.0
!! If you are using TSP 0.7.x please either recompile
!! your application or do not update for now.
JTSP update for 0.8.0 compatibility is coming soon.
The first issue of the TSP Design and Programming Guide is available. You may pick-it up directly from CVS Web I/F
http://cvs.savannah.nongnu.org/viewcvs/*checkout*/tsp_docs/tsp_progguide/tsp_programming_guide.pdf?root=tsp
It contains overall description of the TSP Design and many informations for using and programming with TSP.
TSP 0.7.3 is now available
http://download.savannah.nongnu.org/releases/tsp/tsp-0.7.3.tar.gz
This contains several bugfixes and highly remarked
TSP consumer newcomer: TSPFS.
Enjoy the simplicity of TSP and
the power of FUSE (http://fuse.sourceforge.net/)
and consult your TSP symbols as a filesystem.
Don't forget to --enable-tspfs with configure.
TSP API documentation has been greatly improved
use --enable-apidoc for the API doc to be generated
using doxygen in $TSP_BASE/dist/doc/api/html
TSP 0.8.0 is underway with a wealth of improvement
stay tuned !!
TSP 0.7.2 is now available
http://download.savannah.nongnu.org/releases/tsp/tsp-0.7.2.tar.gz
If you did upgrade to 0.7.1 I urge you
to go up to 0.7.2 since 0.7.1 contains
a nasty bug in blackboard
https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=15675
TSP 0.7.1 is out!

TSP refactoring : - Erk
* make GLU I/F is now Object-Oriented
* added TSP asynchronous write/read request
merged and improved contribution from Mathias Choquet
* added TSP_request_filtered_information for
provider-side symbol list filtering.
This new API enables selective informations to
be retrieved in order to avoid flooding network
with full symbol list implied by the original
TSP_request_informations.
TSP contribution:
* greatly improve huge number of symbol handling in bb_provider
merged contribution from Thomas Testassecca
TSP enhancement:
* Gdisp now using 'minimal' version of
TSP_request_filtered_informations
* Updated ascii_writer for using provider-side
validation and TSP_request_filtered_informations
* Improved gdsip+ with preliminary plugins architecture
and pending save/restore (not operationnal yet though)
!!! BEWARE that GLU API has been through a big rewrite
!!! which makes him incompatible (API level)
!!! with TSP_0_6_X
TSP 0.6.5 is out:

http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/tsp/
This contains enhancement and bug correction.
Enhancement:
- jTSP installer
- jtsp distributed as a standalone module
- better tsp documentation (URD and ADD)
- perltsp a contributed SWIG wrapper for tsp in perl

The TSP v0.6.4 is released.
Tagged in CVS tree and ready to download:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/tsp/tsp-0_6_4.tar.gz
Read the tsp/src/Version.Readme for the news,
this is mostly a bug correction and blackboard improvement
release.
You can now pick-up the tsp whitepaper v1.0 from
download area too:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/tsp/tsp_whitepaper-1.0.tar.gz

The TSP documentation is emerging.
Take a look at the fresh new TSP white paper

http://savannah.nongnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/*checkout*/tsp/tsp_whitepaper/tsp_whitepaper.pdf?rev=1.4&content-type=application/pdf
The TSP is coming up with a fresh 0.6.2 version.
The corresponding tarball is there:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/tsp/
This version has several improvements:
- push philosophy for GLU
- improved performance for high volume symbols provider if only small amount
of symbols are effectively consumed by TSP consumer(s).
- New BlackBoard utility with an associated provider
see src/util/libbb AND src/provider/bb_provider
- small improvement for tsp_gdisp (HEXA and BIN format)
- ANT build file for jTSP.
A firm step to a widespread use of TSP.
Thanks to all the TSP worldwide team.
A new JAVA GUI TSP consumer is on : It's the link between jSynoptic (a generic graphical toolkit) and the jcore TSP lib. It allows connection with many providers, selection of a sampling set, and to dynamically create 2D plots. The performance are quite slow, but mainly due to the 2D plot used, that is not really optimized for real-time drawing. Thanks to Nicolas (http://jsynoptic.sourceforge.net) for the toolkit, and Christophe for the pluggin.
TSP is now ready on Savannah with new features :
- more than one command paths from erk
- tsp_gdisp in source version from dufy
- some bug fixes from sgalles
In preparation :
- wonderful tsp_gdisp++ with nices 2D plots from esteban
- link with jSynotpic form Christophe
- raw and string types, and web server from sgalles
- vxWorks compilation from mia
- xml-rpc from fred ?
I've started to add compatibility with vxWorks 5.4 for the provider part.
Works is in progress but I've needed to change some files because include file are not equivalent (i.e. /sys/time.h in posix becomes /sys/times.h under tornado).I must to make wrapper since vxWorks doesn't not support native pthread library compatible with Posix 4.
So work is in progress.
