The new release fixes a number of bugs and adds some new functionality.
This release fixes a bug in the xyplot widget.
This release fixes an issue with newer versions of Gnone, resulting in programs exiting prematurely.
Due to fixes for a newly detected bug in the xyplot widget and issues with support for very old programs (using a different coordinate system) a new release has been published.
Version 1.2.0 is a new stable release of the XForms library. While development has been concentrated on removal of bugs also a number of new features and improvements have been added. The documentation has also been updated.
Note: release numbers will in the future allow to distinguish stable and development versions, with even release numbers for stable and odd numbers for development versions (i.e. xforms-1.2.x is a stable release while xforms-1.3.y is a development release in preparation for a future 1.4.0 stable release).
A new stable release is out! It's mostly about bug fixes and improvements of the documentation. (Yes, there also was shortly a 1.0.93 release but one more bug was found and removed, and now it's 1.0.93sp1;-)
Another bug was found in the latest release and has been fixed, thus there's another "service pack" release 1.0.92sp2.
Unfortunately, there were still two bugs in the fdesign program of the new 1.0.92 release which were only found after the official release. Both bugs have been fixed in the "service pack" release 1.0.92sp1.
Here is the new release 1.0.92. While an important aspect was the removal of bugs also some new object types have been added. And the documentation is now again available in a format that allows to change it. Here's a short list of the most important changes:
Beside this page, where the sources and repositories are hosted, there's now again also a homepage for XForms at
http://xforms-toolkit.org
with more information about this project and the documentation in HTML format.
The XForms mailing list has found a new home here at Savannah. The web page where you can subscribe is
http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/xforms-development
and the archive with messages since August 11, 2009 is at
http://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/xforms-development/
For the archive of posts prior to this date see
http://xforms-toolkit.org/old-archive/
Beside being able to view the source code for XForms in the CVS repository you now also may use a git repository. To download it (including the complete history) just use the command
git clone git://git.savannah.nongnu.org/xforms.git
(assuming that you have git installed). To later download
the newest version you just have to use
git pull
I am happy to finally announce the release of XForms 1.0.91. Hopefully this is another step on the somewhat longer than expected road to XForms 1.1.0. The new release is mostly a maintainance release with the emphasis on removal of bugs, code clean-up and getting it more in line with the description in the documentation. So only a very small amount of new features were added.
Here is a list of new features (see the files New_Features.txt for a more detailed description and ChangeLog for a complete list of all changes):

I am glad to announce the release of XForms 1.0.90, which marks a
first step on the road to XForms 1.1.0. This development release has
the primary goal of making sure that the new autoconf-based setup used
for XForms works correctly on as many architectures as possible.
There are still a few bugs to fix before 1.1.0, and I am sure that a
couple new feature will creep in too.
Here is the relevant excerpt from the ANNOUNCE file:
V1.0.90 March 30, 2004
o Migrate from Imake to the GNU autotools.
o "Composite" widgets, such as the browser, can now display tooltips.
o Prevent a crash when rotating grayscale images by 90 degree multiples.
o Enable xforms to handle XPixmaps containing colour "opaque".
o Tabfolder widgets are now resizable.
o Re-add fl_lookup_RGBcolor which fell off the dist at 1.0pre3.
o fl_init_RGBdatabase is no longer needed, does nothing and is
retained for compatibility only.
o Pass KeyRelease events to the widgets.
o Display the tab forms correctly when using bottom tab folders.
o Enable xforms to read a wider variety of gif and jpeg images.
o Enable fdesign to work correctly with paths like ../foo/bar/your_file.fd.
o Add a -dir <destdir> option to fdesign to place generated files in destdir.
o Add an RPM spec file.
o Get rid of the separate snprintf compatibility library.
o Removal of lots of little pieces of cruft that crept into the xforms
1.0 release.

I uploaded to the files section the xforms documentation that was
previously available through the xforms ftp site. It is all we have
for now, so it has not been updated for 1.0.
I did not upload the xforms 0.88 documentation, but I can do it if
there is a need for it.
[I uploaded a README file along with it, but for some reason it just
disappeared...]
I finally managed to upload the sources for xforms 1.0 to the site.
Enjoy.
