Yann Dirson has packaged the needed CPAN Perl modules for ipfreeze to work. He also plans to package and submit ipfreeze in Debian unstable. Interested users should go there :

Ipfreeze-0.4.8 has been released with new features :
- command line options
- user definable lists
- user definable target for blacklisted hosts
I you want to know more, type "ipfreeze.pl --help" ;)
I m proud to release the 1.2-3 version of Yaffl. It comes with ipfreeze-0.4.7 and is now able to protect your computer from non-TCP flood and extends forbidden ports to UDP.
It is also possible to choose the target for the non open or forbidden TCP syn ports (DROP, REJECT, TARPIT, MIRROR).
It is possible to get and configure the firewall from http://yaffl.tuxfamily.org/configure.php
enjoy
This version fixes a bug present in the 0.4.6 version. It is adviced to upgrade. This new version also proposes new functionnalities :
- All IP protocols are now managed.
- UDP and ICMP are detected and notified.
- It is possible to log packets that comes from blacklisted hosts.
Enjoy.
New feature : You can now set the blakclisted hosts' target in the ipfreeze.pl script (default : DROP).
A french site is now available at http://yaffl.tuxfamily.org. There is also a web configurator online. An English version of this configurator should be available as soon as I have time to do it.
Nothing really new but a more verbose behavior. It now prints out the destination port of packets and logs packets received from a whitelisted host. The netlink device can't handle a big queue and it is easy to overflow the buffer from a host which can't be blacklisted.
The destination port has been implemented for statistics.
I am happy to release the version1.2-2 which now includes a new script (runme.1st) that checks if you have all the software requirements for Yaffl.
There is also an enhanced yaffl_installer.sh that configures the firewall before it gets installed.
Several little bugs fixed in the firewall script. I am now porting all theses changes to the 1.0.x version.
Enjoy...
