I would give you the information what I have done to make the sources compile on an OpenSuSE 11.2 system.
Versions I used:
gcc: gcc version 4.4.1 [gcc-4_4-branch revision 150839] (SUSE Linux)
uisp: newest brand uisp-20050207
I got several cast-errors in gcc.
I had to fix Avr.C and Stk500.C to make gcc compile without errors. I added 2 diff's for you to be able to integrate that in the code.
