Grammaticomastix - Summary
This group is not part of the GNU Project.
* the name : grammaticomastix is a latin/greek word meaning the "whip of grammar".
* the purpose : produce grammatical analyses of sentences written in Latin, (ancient)Greek and (biblical)Hebrew.
* the code is written in Python3000.
* the program uses the good old commande line.
The author of this project works as a teacher, not as a programmer.
In fact, Grammaticomatrix aims to answer this question : is it possible for a computer to analyse a sentence with nothing but grammatical/morphological informations ? Without any kind of semantic competence, is it possible for the program to understand the structure of sentences ? I work as a Latin & Greek teacher and this project is a very interesting challenge for me.
