Introduction

Personal Kanban manages 3 to-do lists, using the kanban method for organizing your work. This method has proved extremely effective in organizing software development and other important formal tasks.

Summary

In the kanban method, each list is called "bucket" and has a maximum
number of elements. In this kanban, the lists are:

  1. Tasks performed -- called the "Completed" list;
  2. Tasks to be performed -- called the "Todo" list;
  3. Potential tasks -- called the "Options" list.

Details

Personal Kanban imposes the execution of a maximum of 3 tasks at the same time, inserting them in the "Todo" list. As the "Todo" list is emptied, the tasks pass through the "Completed" list and can no longer be moved: what is done is done, and you have to go ahead with the other tasks or do the task again, leaving a trace of the failure for the future.
The "Options" list contains all the tasks that could be carried out but which have not yet been taken on board: in order for the method to
work, the tasks must be performed only after having entered them in the "Todo" list.

I've been using this software for 2 years successfully and has increased my productivity in the long term: it is superior to a simple notebook and can be punitive enough to prevent a project from being abandoned forever, motivating the user.
