Serbian GNOME Translation Project - Summary
This project is part of the GNU Project.

Serbian translation: http://Prevod.org/

Our goal is to keep Serbian one of the best supported languages in GNOME. We currently have a completely translated Gnome 2.4 (http://gnome.org/start/2.4) desktop and developer platform.
In order to start contributing, visit the web pages at http://prevod.org/, or register at Savannah and subscribe to the mailing list (http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/serbiangnome-lista).
Lot of informations about conducting translation can be found on the website of the project: http://prevod.org/

What is GNOME?

GNOME (or "GNU Network Object Model Environment") is the distributed desktop environment for X Window System. You can learn more about GNOME at http://www.gnome.org.

GNOME is at the same time developers' and desktop environment. It provides programmers with tools to create the best software possible, and users with the finest desktop.

The advances are particular in the GNOME 2 release, compared to the earlier 1.x versions. The long awaited support for UTF-8 (Unicode TransFormation to 8-bit characters), and better coordination of project releases enable the new GNOME to support many languages of the world.

We're also hoping to continue with localization of other GNU software real soon.
