I was able to resolve this by using the following mount command...

sudo mount.davfs -o file_mode=775,dir_mode=775,uid=user 'http://localhost/webdav2' /home/user/mounts/webdav

... note the "file_mode=775,dir_mode=775,uid=user " options used. Refer to the man page for davfs2 for details.

I am seeing this problem too.

user@kegger:~$ mount
....
http://localhost/webdav2 on /home/user/mounts/webdav type davfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,_netdev)

user@kegger:~$ touch /home/user/mounts/webdav/test.txt
touch: cannot touch `/home/user/mounts/webdav/test.txt': Permission denied

.. does anyone have a workaround for this?

The subject should be:
'WebDAV rw mount but can't write... - (mod_dav_svn)'

Sorry...

I have setup my subversion repo through apache (mod_dav_svn) as a "webdav drive". Mounting it on ubuntu linux works.

>mount

...
...

>http://192.168.1.126/svn/testrepo/trunk on /home/clemens/dav-mount type davfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,_netdev)

On /home/clemens/dav-mount I can see the files from the svn repo BUT I can't write to it...
E.g

>touch hello

touch: cannot touch `hello': Permission denied

What am I missing?

Note: I mount the WebDAV drive as a svn user which has rw access to the testrepo

Any hint/advice is appreciated
Clemens
