Thank you for your quick reply! :-)

Now it works.

(I had tried to move "arkiv" from the front to the back of the time string, but I missed the crucial difference between the hyphen and the underscore.)

Kind regards,
Svend

Please rename your directories to:

2010.07.02_16.48.05-<something>

then storebackup should not dig into these directories.

In general, it's:

<date>_<time>-<something>

storeBackup uses this pattern to identify backups.

In your example, you could use:

2010.07.02_16.48.05-arkiv

Hope this helps,

Hi,

I have just upgraded storeBackup from a version < 2.0 to 3.2. I use the --series . option to retain the old behaviour. In my backup directory, I have renamed some of the backups in order for storeBackup not to delete them. For each such directory, and, it seems every subdirectory, storeBackup writes a message to the log file:

INFO      2011.10.10 14:18:09 26636 scanning directory </media/usbdisk/storeBackup-stm/arkiv_2010.07.02_16.48.05/stm/work> for existing backups

Since I have many directories, this fills up all the 5 log files that storeBackup uses by default.

I have searched, but have found no way to avoid this info message. Have I overlooked something?

Thanks,
Svend
