Hello Werner,
we are using davfs2 on an Ubuntu 12 LTS See the versions below:
davfs2
Version: 1.4.6-1ubuntu3
libneon27
Version: 0.29.6-1
libneon27-gnutls
Version: 0.29.6-1
We get an error when we try to mount the remote file system:
Jan 17 12:53:31 service2 mount.davfs: Request sent; retry is 0.
Jan 17 12:53:31 service2 mount.davfs: Aborted request (-5): Konnte Status-Zeile des Servers nicht lesen
Jan 17 12:53:31 service2 mount.davfs: sess: Closing connection.
Jan 17 12:53:31 service2 mount.davfs: sess: Connection closed.
Jan 17 12:53:31 service2 mount.davfs: Request ends, status 0 class 0xx, error line:#012Konnte Status-Zeile des Servers nicht lesen: Secure connection truncated
Jan 17 12:53:31 service2 mount.davfs: Running destroy hooks.
Jan 17 12:53:31 service2 mount.davfs: Request ends.
This is a little bit strange because sometimes we can mount the file system but the most of the time we get the error above ('Abort request (-5)'). As we have no control over the server we try to connect to, we can not access the log file on that machine. I searched for the above mentioned error message but I could not find any hints that would solve our problem.
We can connect to the server without problems with our old debian machine which has 'lenny' installed.
davfs2
Version: 1.3.3-3
libneon27
Version: 0.28.2-6.1
libneon27-gnutls
Version: 0.28.2-6.1
Do you have a suggestion for us?
Cheers
Gerd
