This works! I use OpenLDAP for authorization, pam_mount for mounting and ownCloud for WebDAV. This is my config of pam_mount and this works well:
<volume sgrp="users" fstype="davfs" path="http://cloud.opentech.local/remote.php/webdav/" mountpoint="/media/webdav" options="username=%(USER)" />

Thanks for the quick response. I have contacted the pam_mount developer's user mailing list, they seem to be very open to adding davfs support. Will let you know if we make actual progress on this matter :)

The command-line option 'username' is intended for this. Please see 'man mount.davfs'.
pam_mount will have to use a pipe to send the password to mount.davfs.
Please see the pam_mount documentation about how to set up pam_mount.

Please report success/failure as I have no definite response from those who suggested this feature.

Would it be possible to add a mechanism for pam_mount to pass user credentials non-interactively to mount.davfs so webdav directories could be mounted automatically at login without requiring the user to re-enter their password?

This feature would be very useful for example in Alfresco/LDAP environments.
