davfs2 does not need coda. It can also use the fuse kernel file system. Indeed, fuse is the preferred kernel file system and is therefore the default.

If you did not change the default configuration davfs2 will use fuse. If it is a kernel module and not yet loaded then davfs2 will try to load it using the modprobe command.

For what is in the Red Hat kernel and how to build and load additional kernel modules please ask Red Hat.

For davfs2 related questions please first consult "man mount.davfs" and "man davfs2.conf".

For further questions on this support tracker please include some information, e.g. version, what you did and - most important - all error messages from davfs2.

Werner

P.S.: What is "SP fs". Don't expect me to know your preferred acronyms.

Hi,

We are trying to mount a SP fs to redhat 6 Linux fs. We have installed davfs2 drivers. But no coda module available in the kernel. How do we have (install ? / build ?) the coda module in the system to mount the davfs2 filesystem to redhat linux fisesystem.
