davfs2 usually ignores malformed content in WebDAV-responses while some other WebDAV-clients don't.

There is another bug report that may reference the same problem at https://feedback.filerun.com/communities/1/topics/665-webdav-problem-with-shared-folder

To help debugging the problem you may do this:

  • Set options "debug most" and "debug httpbody" in your davfs2-conf file.


  • Mount the file system.


  • Use ls to list one of the shared filders that are empty but should not be empty.


  • Unmount the file system and search your log files for messages from mount.davfs.


  • Append these messages to this item.


The logs will be very long. To make them not even longer please don't issue any other file system commands except the one ls. Don't use any graphical file manager.

I use davfs2 to access files from a filerun instance (https://docs.filerun.com/webdav)

davfs2 is properly configured in /etc/fstab with something like:

> your-site.com/filerun/dav.php/ /home/<username>/filerun davfs user,rw,noauto 0 0


I can access to my files but not the files shared with me. I can see all the shared folders but there are empty. It was working before a upgrade of filerun. It doesn't look like a bug of davfs so. But in the same time, I can access these shared files if I connect directly with thunar or dolphin.

So davfs2 is not able to see files that thunar/doplhin see. This is why I would like your input on this.
