Oh, I'll have the configure script test for it in 1.1 also ;-)
Sorry I locked the other thread by mistake, I don't usually do that.

Hi,

OK, tested with Sox 13.0.0, and it seems to work OK. Sox 12.17.9 completely fails on this task though. Perhaps put a warning in the README that dvdspanky requires sox 13.0.0?

Hi, sorry if this is not the right way to give feedback, but I can't seem to add any comments to the bug item itself anymore...

I've tested version 1.0.9, and the invocation to sox works fine now. However, my version of sox (12.17.9 on Ubuntu 6.10 installed from the ubuntu package) seems to have a problem. If I run the sox step manually, I see:

$ sox -S -V -t wav XXXXXXXX_.wav -t wav XXXXXXXX.wav speed 1.042709376
sox: WAV Chunk fmt
sox: WAV Chunk data
sox: Reading Wave file: Microsoft PCM format, 6 channels, 48000 samp/sec
sox:         96000 byte/sec, 12 block align, 16 bits/samp, 463664640 data bytes
sox:         38638720 Samps/chans
sox: Input file XXXXXXXX_.wav: using sample rate 48000
size shorts, encoding signed (2's complement), 6 channels
sox: Writing Wave file: Microsoft PCM format, 6 channels, 48000 samp/sec
sox:         576000 byte/sec, 12 block align, 16 bits/samp
sox: Output file XXXXXXXX.wav: using sample rate 48000
size shorts, encoding signed (2's complement), 6 channels
sox: Output file: comment "Processed by SoX"

Input Filename : XXXXXXXX_.wav
Sample Size    : 16-bits
Sample Encoding: signed (2's complement)
Channels       : 6
Sample Rate    : 48000

Time: 13:24.19 [00:00.79] of 13:24.97 ( 99.9%) Output Buffer:  37.02MK

At that point sox stops responding to any signal (except SIGKILL), and it also just keeps writing data to the output file until killed.

Btw. the data reported above seems fishy as well. It says 99.9% done with 13:24.19 of audio track processed, but this audio track should be around 41 minutes long...

I'll try to install/compile the latest version of sox in a local directory and test with that.

Rgds
